The Providence Country Club house is a grand building of Georgian design, housing private meeting rooms, the Carolina Ballroom, Dining Room, Lounge, Fitness Center and Pro Shops for Tennis and Golf enthusiasts.
Social gatherings within the community include such things as the Fourth of July Fireworks, Music on the Lawn, The Kids Club, along with various sports camps and pool parties.
The Providence Country Club features a Dan Maples 7,021
yard par 72 championship golf course, offering five-tiered tee boxes to accommodate all skill levels. The original Dan Maples layout has been redesigned by Mike Gleason to offer bent grass greens and Bermuda fairways.
The Providence course also features multiple first-class putting greens, two short game practice areas and a full swing driving range. PGA professionals are available for personal instruction, clinics and camps to perfect your skill level.
Providence Country Club members also have access to an extensive tennis facility with a total of 14 courts, eight of which are Har-Tu, four hydro-blend and two hard surface - ten of the 14 are lighted for evening games. There is also a ball machine program to help take your game to new levels.
With all these courts, it's obvious that tennis is a big deal at The Providence Country Club.
League play includes two USTA tournaments each year, as well as other Queen City and other Inter-Club competitions.
To cheer the players on, the club also has added outdoor seating.
The Providence Country Club swimming pool complex has a 10 lane competition pool, a family slide pool with two flumes and a zero-entry children's pool.
The complex also offers shady lounge areas a fully stocked bar. If you're making a day of it, The Turn Style Grill can handle your orders for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The competition pool comes into full play as the The Providence Piranha Swim Team works to beat the competition as the League Championships draw to a close in mid-June.
The swim team is coached by an expert staff and community pep rally's and support brings in additional energy and cheer.
Home owners are not required to join the Providence Country Club, however those that do not, still pay Providence Country Club Home Owner Association fees of approximately $450 per year. There are various levels of membership available. There is a mixture of single family homes, semi-custom homes and custom homes in the community with prices ranging from 500K-1.2M.
