The Divide Golf Club is an 18-hole Championship golf course designed by John Cassell. The golf club derived its name from the fact that it is located in both Mecklenburg and Union Counties.
The Divide Golf Club features sprawling Bermuda fairways and rolling Bent grass greens - 10 of these holes have water come into play, making for a pretty challenging game.
The practice facility offers a large 30 station turf driving range, putting green, pitching green and sand bunker for pre-game warm-ups or practice sessions.
The Divide is a daily fee course, so residents get the benefit of golf course views, without the need for a full membership package. However, if you choose to be a member, the Divide Golf Club offers a competitive rates which includes no initiation or application fees.
As a member of The Divide, you also get reciprocal golf privileges at The Highland Creek Golf Club, The Tradition Golf Club, Birkdale Golf Club, and Waterford Golf Club.

Shannamara allows residents to enjoy the club amenities and facilities, however, golf is not included in your home owner association fees.
To note, the Shannamara home owner association fees cover the clubhouse, community swimming pool (with slide and tot area), tennis courts and a playground. The home owner's association has holiday and social events scheduled through the year.
There area approximately 700 properties in Shannamara, most of which you will find located on the Union County side of the line.
