The Palisades is a master-planned development carved into 1500 acres of gently rolling hills and woodlands. It offers 14 distinct neighborhoods and over 4 miles of walking trails, located just North of Lake Wylie in SW Charlotte.
The various neighborhoods were built by a handful of builders involved in the development of The Palisades. Each of the 14 neighborhoods have their own Home Owner Association - with varying amenities and fees.
The neighborhoods vary in structure, for instance, some of the homes will be inside their own gated communities with a 
pool and playground; the one Toll Brothers has is uniquely positioned to be in line with the Active Adult community - providing a community pool, clubhouse, pickle ball court, and access to Lake Wylie via a Kayak launch and storage area.
Still, others, have more typical community settings with no gates - just pretty house on nice lots. The most luxurious of the Palisade neighborhoods is located directly across the street from the Members Only Clubhouse. This is a small enclave of custom homes in a gated community.
